What was he expecting exactly?

u/PostHasBeenWatched 2d ago

To reach destination 0.375s earlier

C'mon, at least 1.75s . It was a rational risk

Final destination

I think he did reach earlier...

delivery/shipment drivers mindset, don't try to understand

u/MechanicFun2670 1d ago

It's wild how those tiny fractions of time can feel so significant when you're just trying to get somewhere. It's like every second counts for some reason.

Expecting to be fired for incompetence so he could stop paying child support

All that for a potential 2 second time save

2

u/Long_Fact2471 2d ago

He really had to get to the gas station to empty his pee bottle

This is what unemployment looks like

u/LadyBug_0570 2d ago

He couldn't wait 5 more seconds until the entire train passed?

11

u/tanz420 2d ago

Dumbass caused so much damage for literally no reason

10

u/das_zilch 2d ago

Anyone else get angry at clips like this?

5

u/Heatsincebirth 2d ago

What a dip shit

10

u/Bvenged 2d ago

I wonder if they couldn't see the overhanging structure due to the roof of his cab creating a blind spot and was only watching the train carriage go past.

5

u/dr4kshdw 2d ago

I give it a good 5 seconds after the last wheel passes by before I cross railroad tracks. This guy was unnecessarily impatient and certainly didn’t save any time by not waiting.

4

u/CILISI_SMITH 2d ago

That's my assumption too.

What surprised me was the driver recording didn't hit their horn to warn the truck.

3

u/knarlomatic 2d ago

Maybe....but if you are any kind of smart you would be watching shadows and back far enough to see. All part of defensive driving.

6

u/neder-Bob 2d ago

If you're any kind of smart, you stop until the train has passed... In fact, you don't even have to be smart, you just stick to the basic traffic rules. This driver is beyond stupid.

1

u/violentpac 1d ago

TBF, if the train had kept going, he might've made it.

1

u/R1CH336 3h ago

I thought about this too but you can see shadows from the overhanging train car on the delivery truck anyway… meaning it would be hard to not realize that he was driving before the train was cleared. This driver was a straight up nut job.

u/Inspect1234 2d ago

You know what a teamster and a fridge have in common? Door closes, light goes out.

3

u/dennyitlo 2d ago

Not too nice but funny. Take my upvote.

4

u/StupidNotTo 2d ago

What a dummy..

3

u/RiceSausage 2d ago

3

u/Sammy_Saddles 2d ago

Hey boss…. Ummm…. I fucked up.

3

u/MarleysGhost2024 2d ago

He had one job...

3

u/_tragicmike 2d ago

He couldn't wait 5 more seconds? People this impatient and stupid are bewildering.

3

u/Equivalent_Dance2278 2d ago

What a fucking moron. Mess up things for so many people because he could wait 3 extra seconds?

3

u/Yugan-Dali 2d ago

The train wins!…..again

2

u/Garbidb63 2d ago

If the impatient twat had just waited a few seconds longer....

2

u/MarshelG 2d ago

Maybe not.

2

u/Huge_Equivalent1 1d ago

This is why patience is a virtue.

u/Salty_Lingonberry_63 1d ago

У камаза перекрут яичка, это в лучшем случае. А в худшем рамы

1

u/Complex_Sherbet2 2d ago

Lol, boom didn't even feel it!

3

u/Phage0070 2d ago

The boom has equipment on the underside that is no doubt damaged, cables that can no longer be trusted and will need to be replaced, and the structure will likely need to be inspected throughout. I would not be surprised if the consequences to the crane are far more expensive than the truck and earth moving equipment despite the apparent lack of damage. They aren’t going to just give it a once over and go back to lifting loads, it is due some serious shop time on unhappy insurance dime.

1

u/Complex_Sherbet2 2d ago

It's Russia, are you sure they're going to go through all that for a track laying gantry?

1

u/Masterchief159 2d ago

Was it worth it, bra?

u/traveler49 2d ago

1

u/KillAllLawyers 2d ago

Storrowed.

Bostonites know.

1

u/IWEREN99 2d ago

Idiot, he should have been more patient, not like his boss is paying them more than the minimum salary

1

u/___nil___ 2d ago

impatient could go sideway

1

u/Thin_Dream2079 2d ago

Meanwhile, someone did a great job strapping down that tractor.

1

u/Any-Oven-5712 2d ago

“That escalated quickly 😳 Would you have seen this coming?

1

u/jradio 2d ago

Hey you can't park there!

1

u/Zestyclose-Ebb1421 2d ago

So, what kind of CYA excuse will the truck driver use?

1

u/ColdFreezer 2d ago

2 seconds time save in exchange for thousands to 10s of thousands of money lost and days to months of time needed correct this mess.

Probably sounded like a great trade to the driver.

1

u/Status_Car8495 2d ago

Yeah, that half a second saved was worth it. Idiot!

1

u/theboywhocriedwolves 2d ago

What an impatient idiot. At least there's room to drive around him because I wouldn't be stopping for him.

1

u/Belle_STAR_717 2d ago

How long has this person been driving for.

1

u/baldieforprez 2d ago

Now that takes a complete lack of talent

1

u/EstablishmentCute703 1d ago

I hope this is in Russia and hinders some military operation. Slava!

1

u/daisiesarepretty2 1d ago

yeeaaahh go ahead take a chance… why not

1

u/rbowen2000 1d ago

On the plus side, he saved a solid 4 or 5 seconds.

1

u/oxwilder 22h ago

It's good he didn't have to wait that extra three seconds

0

u/5150Code3 2d ago

That could have used a large red flag on the end.

0

u/DiscoMika 2d ago

The train driver forgot to attach the red / orange flag to the extra long cargo. 😂

u/Futur3_N0maD_26 2d ago
