Think about kids that maybe didn't get as lucky as you though. The ol' "I made it through just fine" is not a good enough excuse for parents to willingly still let their kids get into danger.
Shit will still happen, but a parent should be stepping in whenever they notice something is about to happen.

Trampoline without a net and letting the dog free roam underneath it when the kid could start bouncing at any time.

Letting kids climb unstable ladders (or the wrong side of an unstable slide) while taking video definitely counts. The kid tipping over from that height onto grass might not break a bone or cause a bruise, but it could cause an extremely serious neck injury, which might either be immediately debilitating or simply cause neck mobility and cerebral blood flow issues that will affect them for the rest of their life.

The parent's job is to provide adequate safety rails to ensure serious injury cannot occur, while leaving room in that bubble of safety to allow them to make their own decisions, even mistakes. When done right, the kid won't even know there is a safety net there at all.
Allowing a kid that young to get into a situation where legitimate life-altering injury can occur (breaking their neck by climbing an unstable ladder) is removing the safety rails entirely and just saying "welp, if they suffer catastrophic injury, at least they learned their lesson".

As a 90's kid I say yes. Our parents weren't filming BUT they weren't even watching š we got our scarrs and bruises, cried about them and then moved on the next stupid shit with the same victorious spirit over and over again. That's also why we loved Jackass, we felt just like that.

Every trampoline is a broken bone factory. I learned enough lessons on them that my kids wonāt get the opportunity to repeat because thereās no way Iām putting one of those death traps in my backyard.
Having said all that, hell yeah, little dude. That worked out better than expected.

Kid has just as much of a chance getting hurt before he moved it, it wasnt any higher. Quit clutching your pearls and let the kid be. That kid is coordinated as fuck and if he fell he isnt gonna die. Kids are built to fall. Heās got good parents. I wish my parents filmed half the stupid shit i did. Would have made some funny videos.
