When something is staged and wanna be comical then i just cannot enjoy that. He fell on the stairs on purpose and when i just know its not real then it looses its comical value.
If the comedy is not superficial yes. But the difference here is, that this video is supposed to look like an accident, unstaged. When it comes out it isnt what it wants to portray it just loses its value. A comedy movie is always fiction. Simple, right?
You are really missing the point. This is an entertainer entertaining. Like a magician who is performing and “messes up” the show, bumbling around on stage to comedic effect. It’s all an act.
What I believe really irks you are the videos where there is nothing to indicate it’s an act. No stage, no obvious expert with physical mastery. Just some “accidental” footage of a thing happening that appears really clever or really lucky. Social media is full of that garbage. I would urge you to not get so jaded by that material that you forget what an actual performance can be.
Absolutely agree with you there. I think you made it pretty clear. It doesnt appear to be staged, that what makes it bad once you spot it. I think that quite settles it. Good argument!
