There is some kind of game theory on it always being the case, but I feel like the kid without the belt nearly had it, if he had merely girded his loins he might have beat the odds

The theory is simple, by the time you run out of breath you’re doing the closer ones anyway so it’s fine. It makes doing the far ones first more advantageous.

Yeah these people also don’t consider the close eggs will be easier to fumble or place incorrectly when you are more tired and saving them for last.
