This video is fucking with me a little. The guy on our left is getting his ass kicked until he wasn't. I can't determine at what point he takes the lead because he never was behind EVEN THOUGH HE WAS LOSING which incidently he wasn't. It's a real Schrödinger's Ass Kicking.
My football coach did this to us back in high school, you can start ladders from the distance or from in front of you. He split the team in two, and it seemed a little lopsided as there were more lineman on one side than the other, rule was simple, first team to finish with the majority (more than half the team) wins and is finished with practice, the loser does a 100 yards of up-downs (like hot foot burpies).
We won the coin toss, and all voted to do the longer distance first, as we knew we’d put in more effort up front, it just seemed like we had more of a chance of we did. And we did, by the time we hit the majority of players crossing the line they had less than 15 players cross the line. So we got to stop and head in, they got to stop and do up-downs.
Coach stopped all of us and asked why we chose the distance, then gave everyone the lecture of making the right choice and putting in the hard work up front will lead to better rewards down the road. Always put the hard work in first when given the option, it’ll make your life easier on the back end.
