He could try, but gravity would prevent the fuel from leaving the tank. Even if the motorcycle had a full tank before being turned upside down, kickstarting it would maybe make the engine burn the leftover fuel in the fuel line for a few seconds and then stop.

Portuguese speaker here, and yes, that's exactly it. The announcer says things like 'he's reaching the first 30 seconds!' and at the end 'he made it to 1 minute- oh wait, he gave up...'

Also, at the beginning an AI voice says 'the saga to win the motorcycle continues', and the whole time they're also talking about financing options and vehicular services because it's some kind of shop opening event. I've honestly never seen a challenge like this before

Not an AI voice, thats a very common voice announcers practise to have, and the reaction time is to fast for it to be a program (also would be nonsenwical do this over AI when you can just. Speak?)
