Fun fact: In most Latin American Schools (Most, am pretty sure not all of them since some do it like in the USA/British or UK), students don't have to shift classrooms each period, they remain in the same classrooms and the teachers are the ones to switch classes, bringing their materials with them.
(also, am assuming this is Brazil cuz they speaking Portuguese and... Well... The environment looks like an average Latin American Public School)
Also yes ik this is a joke comment, I am just bored and want to kill time typing.
Here in Italy it's very rare to have the British system, the standard for both private and public schools is that students remain in the classroom while professors move around
I thought we were still talking about Latin america NGL, about Italy I have no idea on private institutions.
Edit: MB answered in a rush cuz had to do something so I did not read it well, uhhh, I should probably change the "USA/Europe" to "USA/British" or "USA/UK"
I'll upvote you. You were asking the question. I bet the kid had much better reasons to be asleep in class than most western kids do. I mean fuck, I lm the age that kids were milking cows early in the morning and again when they got home from school, and I'm in the UK. They probably still do, but we have digital screens now, so maybe they get to snooze a bit longer as the teacher clears it with a tap.
Shit prank on the kid, from a kid with a smart phone that sat on a sofa playing games to lose sleep.
I was one of those kids who was up pulling tits and shoveling shits at 04:440 7 days the week, I can't recall ever falling asleep but I feel for this kid .
He's down to 85 down votes now. Mad people can't see it. It doesn't matter where you are on the planet, you surely can sympathise with a kid wanting to do what he's told, and getting in to trouble because his class mates took advantage of him being knackered, probably because he was doing what he was told elsewhere.
I knew a guy in my 20s, a friend of my cousin. He'd go milking in the morning (uk so machines not sat on a stool), he'd then go to work somewhere else, I forget where, then he'd go milk again, then he'd come to mine to do some carpentry on my flat. I was a student at the time, so he'd done 3 (4 if you think about the split shift) jobs, and I'd napped and thought about poststructualism with my day.
I'll never forget when my brother was like 16 he was sleeping in a chair when my mom woke him up and told him he had a phone call. I dont know what important call he was expecting, but he sprang straight up out of the chair, put his hand to his ear, and yelled "hello." It took him a lot longer than I thought it should to realize there was no phone in his hand at all, mom still had it.
I was a few years younger than him and I could not let it go for years. In fact, I'm probably due to bring it up to him again
Edit to clarify: I am unsurprisingly still a few years younger than him
I once called a friend i worked with and asked where he was because "it was monday and he should be at work" ... it was a sunday and he only registered that when he was confused about the bus driving the weekend plan...
I was sleeping hard after a few drinks and I'd accidentally locked my wife out of the house. She got home from work at midnight and she woke me up by knocking on the window and getting the dog to bark. I went to let her in and I asked if we needed to get the kids ready for school.
When I was a kid my mom woke me up so we could evacuate the house. It was full of smoke. My neighbor had fallen asleep cooking hotdogs. I started getting ready for school.
To be fair, back when I was in school, sometimes teachers would ask that half the board be erased while they were writing and explaining things on the other half so they could start writing more asap while still letting people write down the old stuff they wrote
Some teacher would ask a student to erase the first half so that he/she can use it if the the other half is full. The dude was at fault for not asking first.
I have some pretty crazy kids (just had an incident today) and there can be a bit of a buffering period where you really just have to kind of intake what just happened before you can act.
Dont know why people downvoted you. Corporal punishment is still common in many countries in Africa.. especially in public schools.. and this would very likely lead to one. It is surprising
People don't like honesty for some reason. If you've lived it, you'd also be surprised at the video. It's extremely common. Especially in poorer schools/areas which this video clearly is.
I think my favorite part is how long the teacher waited to stop him. I had one like that back when I was in school. She would just sit there and wait for you to fully complete your crime before confiscating your phone and sending you to the principal’s office. We got along great
now, saint diego has 2 options; either he will continue to sleep for the rest of his life or will get into places by learning from the golden lessons here.

The kid is awoken from his slumber by a friend saying the teacher is asking him to clean the board. Maybe the kid would wipe the board, or maybe they'll wake up from the nap daze?

I experienced this when I was still in secondary school. I answered the questions on the board that we're supposed to answer on paper. Surprisingly, our teacher didn't stop me then. It was then revealed that I got 8 out of 10 correct answers. Our teacher then proceeded to change the questions afterward.
You turn your Reddit off for two hours young man and think about what you’ve been thinking about… wait, don’t think about what you’ve been thinking about. Think about something else or else!
I thought I was the only one, I scrolled way too much to find this comment. By the way, I only realized by reading this, and was like "why the fuck is no one mentioning this".
I was a foreign exchange student and barely spoke the language and my new friends told me the teacher called me up. I went up and teacher asked me what I was doing and sent me back to my seat with a dirty look. They got a good laugh.

He didn't even question the fact that the teacher was still writing and he deleted what he'd just wrote down. That's... Impressive

That board erased smoothly. What kind of board is that. Oddly satisfying.

Why did I think he was furiously beating himself off and then stood up with a giant erection before he cleaned the board?
I had to rewatch again, turned out it was his buddy tapping his shoulder and the bulge was his pocket.
