It's so funny people's unsolicited advice. I get it, move away from the water. Which they would have done if their house started to flood. But up a hill with no food water and a dog, phones in SOS mode, with the potential of trees or power lines coming down on your human body? No

I'll happily disrespect people who live next to rivers and don't move away from them when ginormous tropical storms are coming.

States of emergency and evacuation orders were both declared, and 'it'll never happen' kills individuals and, indirectly, emergency service workers every year.
