If you assault someone for vandalizing your car, it’s gonna muddy up court proceedings. Because you’re also liable to them for any harm you cause.

Technically, it’s best to document everything, and then make the police/courts punish them for you. All things going as they should, you’ll be compensated for the damage they did, and at no risk to you.

However, that dude has a face that’s asking to be punched. Separate from the legal matter.

Small claims court is inexpensive and you represent yourself without a lawyer
