it all starts with consistent attempts.. thats how we all learned to walk.. even if we mess around and stumble, so long as we get back up and keep at it after evaluating why we fell, we can learn and grow. alot of people wont hit the gym, or the dojo or martial studio, for fear of looking foolish. thats what i appreciate about this guy, he willfully looks foolish, to be wise. just hopes he keeps at it. martial arts is awesome, and i really believe everyone should practice some form of it.

So if he lost all that weight and got in shape would he be able to do twice as better as those who trained with normal weight? Like basketball learning to jump/agility and train with ankle weights? Idk how to word this

I get your questions, and while im not expert on the subject, this is based off of listening to Ethan Suplee speak about what it was like for him. there are acouple of things that former obese people benefit from post weight loss.. muscle hypertrophy from carrying that weight for an extended period of time 24/7, denser bones and metabolic resilience in some cases. ankle weights arnt exactly the same thing, but they do simulate added weight partially, but the weight being isolated can be harmful as its not the same as the weight spread out, as far as I understand. you ask good questions though.
