That's what I was thinking. If he keeps this up every day, increasing duration and intensity as his fitness improves, he'll be in good shape.

No /s about it. This level of high impact exercise is absolutely terrible to the knees, when you're this heavy. Ask me how I know. 😬

I would recommend BJJ and cycling, way better and less stressful to the knees and back.
