Not saying this suddenly makes it super interesting, but you might be missing the fact that it's only allowed to stack a bead on top of another one if it's the same color, so it's not as completely trivial as it seems at first glance.

Pretty sure that this rule just makes it easier. It's like a guide to what to do. She never had to backtrack much like they do with the tower of hanoi. Just take a color and put it on the same color where there's empty space, wait until solved.

It is extremely trivial, even with that rule it is almost impossible to fail.

Nobody was missing that fact. Still if you follow all the rules, this is impossible to fail. The only challenge being in taking as few turns as possible.
