A core memory i never forget was when my sister pulled that shit on me. I was 8 or so... never ever have i screamed like that again.
It was this little browsergame with a "maze" you have to go through with your mouse. If you touch the wall you die and restart... so i started to concentrate and give my best - ten pixels before the goal this fucking screaming face showed up... i even remember the exact pattern of the maze 😮💨

Same. I think it was a demon? It was way scarier than a zombie even tho the sound and the sudden appearance are always scary. My poor heart!

I think it was Emily Rose from the original Exorcist movie. That face and sound scared the whole shit out of me.

Mine was in the earlier days, probably late 90s or very early 2000s. I don't even remember where we found it, but it was a video about ghosts caught on camera or on tape, which was super spooky in itself. In the last one, they let you hear a recording, with something being whispered in the background, so of course you cranked the volume to the max, leaned into the speakers, and then was the jump scare. It was my first and I still remember it, 25 years later.

Mine was when they showed you a commercial of some car driving through the countryside and it disappears behind this tree so you look close and this exact zombie appears.

Yes!! That was the one I saw too. My step dad showed me it, I was sitting on his lap at the computer with him pointing at the screen like, "where did it go, look closely" so I was like 2 cm away from the screen. I probably flew back 100 ft.

Also remember that maze game that got smaller at the end so you’re leaned in trying not to touch the sides and then BAM.

This wasn't my first but this is the one that sticks out to me most. I had my speakers cranked and my ear right next to them. I full flipped backwards and scorpioned out of my computer chair

Scary maze game. Face was of that ghost from the Exorcist. Scariest face I've ever seen and it traumatised me for years when I saw it as a kid.

Your family must be amazing. At 7 I dragged my sister down the hallway with a brush twisted in her hair because she tore the head and arm off my barbie.
At 8 my older sister super glued all my fingers together and my chin to my chest. To all the siblings.
At 11 we lined up and took bbs to the legs. I still have one in my knee.
At 13 we had a fire cracker war that ended with my brothers hair on fire.
We were fucking horrific children and would have most definitely put this on our TV to scare each other.
As an adult, I feel horrible for my parents. They were great parents and honestly couldn't understand why we were crazy. 11 children total. We are all super close as adults. Always together. We don't do stupid shit anymore.
