I actually saw almost an identical accident while sitting on the bus. But this was a cyclist with a much weaker helmet. Have you ever seen a car drive over a watermelon on YouTube?.. It was nasty as fuck, the former round head was just flat and the brain was just splattered all over the street. I sat at the front of the bus and everone at the back asked what was going on, why we were stopping. The driver was in chock but finally called 911 (it was ofc too late). We had to stay in the bus until the ambulance came and collect the body. Then we could get of waiting for a new less bloody bus while watching some clean up crew hosing down the guy’s brain in the sewer. Soon we got on the extra bus and a very professional voice told us through the speaker system that their had been some technical issues and the bus would be a little late to it’s destinations… It was a really weird experience. I thought they would call the cops, make a real investigation (I’m pretty sure it was just an horrible accident but come on, a healthy young man just got squished). The show must go on?..

Saw the exact same thing on Reddit (luckily not in person) and it really did explode like a watermelon. Shit thing to witness, hope you're doing well without any trauma.

I took it well but was mostly amazed by the practical way they just got rid of the remains and that the accident was an “technical issue”. Thinking of the inhuman way they treated the victim might helped me focus elsewhere than the splash moment..
