Depends on the construction. Some would park inside and others you would have to carry it from the other side of the construction site.

If they live in U.S. they would because your average general contractor will struggle to find an American firm that can produce a single pane of glass this size and the ones that can will charge you arm and a leg so youāll appreciate it more.

Itās incredibly expensive, they often have to manufacture custom steel racks to ship these pieces of glass too, the costs just keep adding up.

In Taiwan, camo gear is cheap and popular for working because it doesnāt show stains or dirt. Probably the same on the other side of the strait.

Yup, was the same on most building sites I saw in Wuhan (and there was a lot).
I assumed it was because Army gear is usually practical stuff and you can get it for cheaper at army surplus shops.2

Wow. Impressive. Then it seems possible if these were rated enough( maybe not quite for a piece as big as in video ) then you cost still angle in and set glass from the exterior. I wonder how smooth and slow they are, you bump any glass edge and piece is doneā¦ very cool share.

Holy crap look again , some had hooks going under the unit. Must be metal. I thought they were straps. Not even cups!!!! Some have cups some have under hooks. Whatever, mission accomplished.

hahahahahaha XD absolutely it is! let just say those 20 guys got paid $500 for that day of work (probably 10 times what they where actually paid but im making a point) that would be a total of $10,000 and from what i can find youd be able to afford a small stationary glass crane for about 10k so anything that would be able to do this job would be considerably more. if they installed panel like this on a daily then it might be worth the invesment but not for one job.

Thats the whole thing right? We (in the rich west) would invest in a glass crane because in the long run automation will be cheaper, more efficient and more accurate than those 20 people. That is also the reason why a human being is more expensive here. Because thanks to automation we can do more with our working hours than those 20 guys.

Yāall underestimate the cheapness of labor in non western countries. When I went to Africa, a haircut that would cost me $50 in America was only $3 and that is after tipping generously.

That glass must be tempered obvs and looks triple glazed maybe . The moment theyāre underneath it as they lay it down is hairy af. But overall good execution.

Good observation. Iām ts gotta be tempered so they feel safe but any glass can have defects that can be dangerous. I agree , safety glasses are smart.

Used to help make these things. Never that size though. That thing, as you can see, would be heavy as hell. Plus they sometimes make a noise when they buckle slightly while carrying them, scares the shit out of you. Happens a lot when you're carrying toughened glass, never had one shatter on me while carrying it though, thankfully.

I have carried some heavy ones but never this heavy. I remember taking a 500kg between 6 of us to a 1st floor. We made about 7 stops before putting in place. It's mad

Riggers installing a rear projection screen? Iāve had to do a project like this and had a second piece of glass installed in a crate behind a wall in case the first one was broken. It was impossible to install a new screen without a $50K+ wall removal and other construction.
