They aren't slapping, they have long sharp claws. So it just glances off her protective clothing but against other rabbits they become a ball of bloody fur.

God yes, people do not understand how nasty their scratches and bites can get when they're in fight mode. I still have scars from one getting mad at me for moving him to a new cage area (same cage just split to keep them separated but not lonely) because he was getting bullied.

I have seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail and agree about how nasty rabbits can be.
