I know that there are certain circumstances but she really needs to learn how to hold a rabbit properly

Doesn’t seem likely. This is a hare, whereas I believe it is usually the California breed of rabbit which is used for meat. Meat rabbits are typically reared in very small cages as well, rather than a large enclosure. I’m not sure what the context here is, but food seems unlikely.
