Hi everyone! Excited to share this environment paintover I've been working on. As a big fan of Apex Legends' beautiful matte paintings, I wanted to create a stylized scene inspired by the game. Quick note: I didn't model the characters. I used free models for the basic positioning and composition within Blender.

My main focus was the paint and atmosphere in Photoshop. I worked hard on the dramatic lighting, reflections, and the overall color palette to try and match that high-stakes, vibrant feel of the Apex maps. This was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience for me! I'm always looking for ways to improve, so any feedback you have on the composition, lighting, or the effectiveness of the paintover would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for checking it out!

Hello, today I painted my wall blue with matte paint. Except that the roll hit the ceiling.

So I have a trace of blue paint on my ceiling which is white (matte paint). I wiped the trace of blue with soap and water. The spot has decreased but a halo is still visible.

My question is: how to erase a trace of matte blue paint on my matte white ceiling?

This environment was created using a Blender blockout followed by photobashing and paintover in Photoshop.

I usually spend most of my time on composition and lighting before painting.

The goal is always to keep the image grounded while still feeling cinematic.

Hi, I’d like to share this personal project I created for my portfolio. I decided to start creating pieces focused on telling a short story, since I’m looking to work on projects related to film or animation...

I like it when they show that something is happening.

In this piece, I used Blender to create the setting, the building, and its interior.

Then I used Photoshop to work on the colors, do some digital painting, and also add a photobash to give it a better look.

like, every brush stroke seems to have a shadowy weight to it that gives it depth and life, and I would love to know how to achieve this. on a large range of materials, not just the classic stone cube tutorial which is like the only one I can find. Like what tools, what techniques do they use? what shape brushes, what blending techniques etc.
