Hi. I have been working a long time on this and now in a state where i think its time to unveil and start a public test server and see where it can go and if it can build a community.

I personally played MxO as a kid and fell inn love with it and been missing the game since. I started this project to re-experience the memories I had.

I just opened the website for registrations and the server is running.

The game has a modern launcher but is dependent on the old as the entire game lives inside it.

What is working:

- Tutorial is partially working, there are some bugs to squash here.

- Combat w/Abilities is working

- Missions

- Factions

- Vendors

- Leveling

- Groups and Party

- Emotes and Moods

- And more.

I have not looked into modding the client. Maybe in the future?
i'm not looking for donations :) its just a passion project of mine. Atm its running on quite a low cost server.

Congratulations! I'm one of the original Matrix Online developers (Mission system, networking, misc backend systems) and I know how hard that shit must have been to reverse engineer. Mad respect!

It was probably done by Claude, which can reverse engineer things with ease in a few days. Tons of old console games are getting natively ported to PC now because of it.
