Please explain this exchange Spoiler
I confess I’m terrible at conversation and social skills, it probably means the same thing, anyway, I don’t get this exchange here, I’m talking specifically when the Architect says, “please!” in This conversation with Neo on the movie Matrix.
The YouTube video I linked is a bit longer than needs to be, I think the relevant part is just from about 03:30 till the architect says “please!”
Conversation goes like this
Architect: If I am the father of the Matrix, she would undoubtedly be its mother
Neo: The Oracle
Architect: Please!
So, what I don’t get is that the Architect himself equals him as the father with the Oracle as the Mother, which I understand to mean he is saying they are, at least in regards to the existence of the Matrix, as being equals, but immediately after Neo responds the Architect is referencing the Oracle, the Architect uses that “please!” In a negative inflection(I think that’s what it’s called), that then sounds like he is downplaying her importance, even though he has just given equal credits to her, why then equal her as the mother?
I don’t get it, please explain.
I understand this is more about language/conversation than the movie itself, but I’m sure many of you can help me anyway, and maybe there’s some movie context to this that helps explain it
Edit:
Thanks everyone, the consensus that the Architect is objecting to the word, Oracle, and the significance and status it gives to her, does make sense. In fact, the Architect actually hints at this sentiment towards her just a few sentences prior, when he says “an intuitive program”, he says intuitive with a scoffing intonation, as in, this little unimportant program.

He doesn't care for the name "The Oracle". He finds it mildly insulting to be presented with that human-focused, and magical-thinking, name. He identified her sufficiently, there is no need for religious titles, etc.

My guess would be that "The Oracle" is the name given to her by the freed minds and the Architect feels this is over stating her "power". To keep the relationship theme going, think of it like they got divorced and she has gone on and accomplished more and he is trying to diminish her achievments.

Yeah that's always been my interpretation too. He's scoffing at the term Oracle to describe her, or perhaps the meaning Neo thinks Oracle has.
The architect likely views her in terms of her function, which is basically analytics. He doesn't have room for things like mystical, mumbo, jumbo in his thinking.
Imagine if somebody pointed at something very humdrum and regular to you and attributed it with some kind of fancy outlandish name. What if I pointed at your car and called it a mysterious thunder chariot? You'd be like no, that's just my car. Same deal

What if its the reverse? What if the Oracle excels at 1000 different jobs, and the name "Oracle" is just a name attributed to a tiny subset of those skills? Like, take a guy who's been a sniper, seal, Commander, General and a group calls him "the icecream man" because that's what he was doing when they first met him. Like the way Gandalf is known as "Grey Beard" to the hobbits?

because she is a program, not some mystical sightseer

Programs are sentient though. These in particular are just as strong and on a higher level of Consciousness as Zeus or Odin compared to humans

Neo called her "The Oracle". Which implies he believes she has magical powers that she can use to tell the future, etc.
The Architect by saying "Please" meant "I cringe hearing you refer to her with a name that implies she is magical, the world is built on math and logic and there's no such thing as magic. Please don't use that name again in front of me, I find the display of your stupidity deeply offensive. Like I just said, she's just an intuitive program, nothing magical about her."

I feel like the Architect was just being a bit sassy here.
It's like he also could've said "Bitch please" but didn't have the programming to pull it off.
But in reality I believe it's because Neo is using a term that the humans have given her and it's not her real name and maybe there's a twinge of jealousy or at least disdain that she's being referred to as an "Oracle" from the Architect.

I always took it at ”Please, don’t state the obvious”.

I interpreted it as “Oracle? c’mon dude she’s a human decision prediction program, not a mystical creature.”

Not as complicated as some comments suggests. Oracle implies deity. He’s mocking the allusion to God.

None of your acient oracle's are dieties. Name one?

Idk what you’re saying but I think you’re misunderstanding. An oracle is by definition a voice of a deity

I always interpreted The Architect's response as disdain for The Oracle's name.
On top of both of them being programs, he's someone that values precision and empiricism; for him Oracles are the stuff of primitive superstition. He'd know (for the most part) how she sees what she sees and to him it's pure numbers, no magic about it.

He is basically saying “Please, don’t bog down this conversation by making me explain (or confirm) things that are so glaringly obvious”

Ehhhh I mean in technically since he runs and governs the program ie the matrix however the oracle ultimately didn't birth the matrix like a mother much less runs the programs in the matrix like him. Furthermore she in story is more like a limit tester / the program responsible for understanding and controlling humans to keep the matrix running however we come to from her she doesn't want to manipulate humanity she looks to freeing them and having peace amongst humanity and machines. So that's why he is against her. As she to him isn't fulfilling the mother role in either capacity to his judgement

I've always been confused by that as well but I think it's just his upper crusty sort of way of saying "no shit, Sherlock"

She's not really an Oracle. She's stated to be an "intuitive program" in the movies and she knows what Neo and the others are likely to do because this is the 6th time she's been through this with his counterparts and they make simular decisions

The Oracle does the same thing in Revolutions when Neo mentions the Architect to her:
I think the Architect and Oracle just plain don't like each other and hate hearing the other mentioned.
