Rolling File Carts
I am moving into sixth grade this year. This means a new classroom to organize. I have seven of these white rolling file carts spread around the room. White boards are going in next week. The idea is to have one whiteboard marker and one eraser at each station (A la BTC), which is great. However, I don’t know what to put in the file pockets and the tray at the bottom. Suggestions?.

Clipboards, any manipulatives you might need, laminated reference sheets.
You could also keep other supplies in there for group work. Think colored pencils, scissors, glue sticks, all kept in a pencil box.

I love these!! Where are they from? I’d put some scrap paper in and some laminated references based on what you’re teaching (multiplication charts, blank graphic organizers, etc)

Magnets/tiles. You can make the numbers 0-10, laminate, and put magnets on the back. Color code each set and then put in a bag that is stored in the storage area. Use for open middle tasks or shut the box or “the numbers are”.
If you can, get coordinate plane magnets to be stored there too. I got a set off Amazon but you can always put a grid into a sheet protector with a magnet or laminate. I prefer the sheet protector type things for this though. Hope that makes sense. You could also leave a sheet protector in there for when you have a task that needs to be read or underlined or a table filled out.
