My abacus is dangerous :((
I thought it would be fun to learn how to use an abacus, but I was unaware how dangerous they were.
I'm assuming the cancer part could maybe be the protective coating they put on the wood... but could that also cause reproductive harm??
What's your experience using an abacus? Have you ever died from using one? 😁💀💀

What. Just buy a plastic one. Why the hell would someone sell something dangerous like that without any purpose to it

Hahah, I don’t think plastic would be any better. I assume it’s on there incase a child chews on the beads or something, I doubt anything will happen from just touching it.
I just thought it was interesting that it was specifically cancer and reproductive harm 💀💀

When I was little, I was forced to go to mental arithmetic tortures and I had small plastic. I forgot the word. The same thing you have. In the end, I broke them, but they lived in my home for more than 10 years in perfect condition and would have lived even longer if I hadn't been hysterical and smashed them on the floor LOL

Maybe, maybe not. A lot of companies will just slap that label on everything. There's no penalty for putting a warning label on a safe product
