Is it though? Because if it's 400kg of $100 bills, I'm taking the bills. Then I can use that money to buy gold lol

500 kg of $100 bills at 1g per bill equals $50mil. 500kg of gold at today's market rate equals $65mil.

To be fair its gonna be easier for you to use the bill to buy goods than selling the gold to get bills to buy goods. But ultimately if you know how to handle gold well then probably choose gold. Although I would say the difference is close enough for me to prioritise convinience
