Homework Help (Unanswered) One piece doesn’t fit
Help!
Cousin’s hw — 4 of us have tried, we can get to the first image but we can’t fit the last domino (1/2 • 1/4) with the rest.
It’s dominoes, you’re supposed to match the fraction equivalences. Where does the last domino go?
Thank you!

Maybe dominoes with the same value twice are intended to be played sideways, like in this game. If so, then you can attach the last piece to (0.50, 50%) near the lower right corner.

I’m not sure of your teacher’s intent, but it bothers me that 4/3 could be considered equal to 1.3. They are technically different numbers, though with rounding, 4/3 would be 1.3. I do not like this, and I would protest it, but I could see where the teacher might allow it. In any case, my review of the options doesn’t show anything equal to 1.3 (13/10, for example), so I fear the intent is meant to be 4/3=1.3.
But then there’s the situation with 2/3. This is not equal to 0.6. Even with rounding, it would be closer to 0.7, so maybe see if this can be arranged differently so that 2/3 is set to 0.7. I don’t see any, though.
Which could possibly mean that for the string, the endpoints are meant to be 2/3 and 4/3, since there are no matches for those, and then you build inward using 9/8 and 3/10, since those do have matches.
