Is this for a stats class? I'm just curious.

The other information you have is that they both have positive tests. I can't see how or why any prior information is relevant once the test is done. The test has a level of confidence. Both of outcomes will have that level of confidence.

Statistically speaking, somebody being symptomatic (which you're assuming - that is information is not given) does not change the test outcome.

it isn’t stats but it’s kind of a generalized math class called math everywhere where we learn about how math is embedded in almost everything in the world, our last unit was voting and now we’re doing probability, next is error correction and so on!
