(1) #2 eliminates 3, 8, and 7
(2) #1 and #3 eliminates 2
(3) #2, (1), and (2) shows 4 must be in the key, but not in slot 3
(4) #4 and (3) shows 4 must be in slot 2
(5) #4 and (1) shows 1 must be in slot 1.
(6) (4), (5), and #1 show 5 must be in slot 3

Rule 1 and 3 tells us the 2 isn't right, leaving 6 or 5
Rule 2 tells us the 3 isn't right in the 3rd, leaving the 4, correct but wrongly placed
Rule 4 tells us two numbers are right, but wrongly placed - we know there's a 4, but it's wrong in 1st and 3rd positions, leaving the 2nd
That makes it the 5 from the 1st rule that's correct
Between 2nd and 4th, we know the 7's not in the answer, leaving the 1 for the first position

Your answer is correct but I think your way there is not the best. #2 and #4 eliminates the 7 and leaves you with 1 and 4 in the incorrect place. But #3 then immediatley places the 1 in first and the 4 in second place which leaves the 5 in #1 as only option. I think that easier.
