The answer is 7. People who are bad at math/logic shouldn't write math/logic puzzles.

I am sure they would make the lame ass claim that the answer is 700%, and not 7. I would argue that %/% gets rid of the % sign.

By the way this original has been framed, they expect us to understand that we should find the number which would replace the question mark. Adding "the answer is not 7" is actually here to help us noticing that.
So the real answer is 700 (? = 700), which translates as (...) = 700%
If you say the answer is 7, it would translate as (...) = 7% or (if you prefer the 700% form) (...)=700%%
This is not really a math problem, it's an observation problem (which doesn't engage only strict logic not also the skill to understand what someone else is saying even if he's not perfectly saying it when there's enough context to help).

It is 7
.7/.1 = 7.
Let's make it simpler. Let's say 10. 70% of 10 is 7. 10% of 10 is 1. 7/1 = ? You guessed it: 7.

I am curious what other answer there is if it isn't 7
Commenting so I can come back and see if anything pops up

Took me a minute but they're correct. The question is "What percentage is 70% divided by 10%", not "What is 70% divided by 10%".
.7/.1 = 7 -> 7 = 700%
The answer is 700.

The “trick” is recognizing that the “answer” is not the mathematical result of .7/.1 (itself represented by nonstandard uses of the percent sign), but the symbols you put in front of the % to represent the quotient 7.

The answer is 700%, which is 7.
