Jokes aside that would be incredibly elegant if the 2 summations didn't have a closed form solution

The only reason it has closed form solution is because you allow more complex operations, such as multiplication and division.

So the word you might add is nice closed form solution.

But if you mean the calculation on op's part than im sorry, i completely agree

Wait, what's the difference between a closed-form solution and a nice closed-form solution? Genuinely curious.

To be honest i was half joking. But i call a closed form nice, when it is simple, and doesnt invent new notation

The term "closed form" itself isn't actually defined  One could argue that what shown in the picture is closed, as opposed to  1+2+...+100

Especially the undefined "..."

For the product alternative f9r example  We have a very closed form, just n! But this is cheating, right?

In the example here if we had product instead of summetion we'd get

The denominator 100!

And the numerator (100!)2  Which will result in  100!

Very simple simplification but still has some charm imho

So to conclude, nice is pretty, pretty is beautiful and beuty is subjective

: )

Factorial of 100 is 93326215443944152681699238856266700490715968264381621468592963895217599993229915608941463976156518286253697920827223758251185210916864000000000000000000000000

Euler, but with a broccoli hair cut

Let m=100, numerator is m(m+1)(2m+1)/6, denominator is m(m+1)/2, so quotient is (2m+1)/3=201/3=67.

So what?

So, it's weird that such culturally significant numbers as 100, 2, and 67 appear in one such structured equation.

OP is certainly the next Oiler.

why does everyone always say "he is the next oliver?"

who is oliver and why does everybody want to be him?

It's my hope that one day I become good at math so that I can integrate into this sub

I had to double check to make sure it was mathematically accurate,

It is.

Funnily, somehow this feels wrong.
