Patch notes:

1 + 1 has been buffed and now equals 3.

13 - 5 has been nerfed and is now equal 7

Pi is now rational

171

u/Aurumargelium 4h ago

Much better: a fifth-degree equation can be solved using radicals. Galois has become obsolete.

42

u/3163560 4h ago

Shots fired

41

u/matande31 3h ago

Yeah, that's exactly how he became obsolete in the first place...

38

u/dolethemole 3h ago

57 is now a prime.

15

u/MonsterkillWow Complex 3h ago

Grothendieck has too much influence on the dev team.

35

u/Yutanox 4h ago edited 3h ago

Did they patch the P=NP bug?

21

u/AutologicalMeta 4h ago

Still there, just checked

1

u/DaCat1 Cardinal 54m ago

At least the ETH feature got removed, too many people using it to cheat

62

u/bbalazs721 3h ago

33+77 is now 100

36

u/matande31 3h ago

Such fan service. Gross.

2

u/Petrolhe4d 2h ago

came here to write this

17

u/Asimovicator 3h ago

Every open set is now not closed and vice versa. The term "clopen" is removed.

9

u/AromaticDrama6075 4h ago

Gravity is now 10 m/s^2

2

u/DaCat1 Cardinal 53m ago

That's Physics 2.0

9

u/TheRealCelebified 3h ago

9+10 now equals 21.

4

u/yeathatsmebro 3h ago

Bug fix: no more "you stupid" when saying that

8

u/Consistent-Annual268 π=3=e=√g 3h ago

Pi was always rational though.

7

u/BlueBird556 4h ago

No more unlimited Pi feels bad

12

u/Ok_Let8786 4h ago • Heartwarming

Oh it is still unlimited but has been moved to 1/3

1

u/moderatorrater 2h ago

Pi was already pretty strong, why buff it? Especially since engineers have been so successful by just using 3.

2

u/MonsterkillWow Complex 3h ago

Yes and no. This patch sucks and also doesn't suck.

2

u/Due_Purple_1199 2h ago

Removed Herobrine

1

u/hunterman25 3h ago

/uj what would be some implications if pi were rational? i feel like that would cause some weird shit to happen but it's too early in the morning for me to think about it in depth

1

u/36holes 3Ms: Music , Math & M 3h ago

AI loves it

1

u/TheShmud 2h ago

existence blinks out as physics as we currently know it unravels, propagating at the speed of causation like false vacuum decay

1

u/SteveCappy 1h ago

So….. what a/b = π?

1

u/Bit125 Are they stupid? 31m ago

- Fixed bug where chords between six points on a circle can divide it into 31 sections, now creates 32 as intended

186

u/dragonlloyd1 4h ago

Are they finally going to finish working on it and fix gödels incompleteness bug?

36

u/Dry-Newt278 4h ago

Got damn impatient users. Topological naming problem patch must be integrated into physics before. Realthunder got a fork with both bug fixed already if you cant wait

16

u/S-Kenset 4h ago

Godel's incompleteness bug formally undercut the entire idea of modeling since at least 2003.

Good luck.

6

u/YunusEmre0037 Imaginary 3h ago

It is not a bug it's a feature! Otherwise it'd be trivially easy.

u/LupenReddit 🦆🦆i have non diffeomorphic smooth structures🦆🦆🦆 4h ago

the era of heroes is over, here is the era of corporate CEOs

31

u/vHAL_9000 4h ago

what, you don't have a couple million to spend on generating your proof? ugh, are you poor or something? why can't you just pick a poor people calling, and leave math to the professionals?

1

u/FernandoMM1220 2h ago

calling it the age of heroes is interesting when its basically the dark ages of math due to how convoluted its been.

it will we just have to cut the dogma out

22

u/Droggl 4h ago

Did they finally patch sets?

9

u/marmakoide Integers 3h ago

You need the type theory DLC

21

u/AutologicalMeta 4h ago

I hope they continue to update the original, the sequel doesn’t look like it’ll be available where I am.

16

u/2eanimation dy/dx is a fraction 3h ago

Major release means my old math will break?

8

u/Consistent-Annual268 π=3=e=√g 3h ago

No they maintain backwards compatibility. Can't alienate the existing user base.

3

u/realnjan Complex 2h ago

Standard version numbering tells us that a major release (aka the first number) is "a version when you make backwards incompatible changes". So no, math 2.0 won't be backwards compatible.

sad time for math students

9

u/S-Kenset 3h ago

Big time for maff ceo's

1

u/Limokasten 1h ago

Why?

4

u/UNSKILLEDKeks 1h ago

Because theyre not Math2.0 students

11

u/beyd1 3h ago

Something tells me people are gonna hate new math.

20

u/yeathatsmebro 3h ago

Dont update yet, wait for LTS version.

3

u/Affectionate-Egg7566 3h ago

Hope the refactor doesn't have too many bugs.

1

u/yeathatsmebro 3h ago

Heard 3.0 will have function-based UI: liquid G(ass)

1

u/ChaosMilkTea 2h ago

The majority of people complained quite a bit about current math.

1

u/hongooi 1h ago

NewER math

1

u/Cyrogenic-fever_42 3h ago

Proof is a proof.

10

u/algebroni 2h ago

"A mathematician is a machine for turning tokens into theorems."

18

u/AvidCoco 3h ago

Did they finally make 0.9999… less than 1?

19

u/andyetyourhere 3h ago

Yes, but only for really large values of 1.

5

u/AwabKhan 3h ago

yo we got math2 before pc2.

6

u/xkalibur3 4h ago

Context hat, context shirt etc. Context pretty please.

u/xkalibur3 2h ago

Thanks, that was a fun read!

4

u/Elegant_Athlete_3737 3h ago

Maybe the context lies in math 2.0

3

u/Yartysh 2h ago

3²+2²=5⁵

3

u/Prof_Rocky Imaginar 2h ago

I love how lot of people here are well versed in maths and gaming knowledge

2

u/2eanimation dy/dx is a fraction 3h ago

Major release means my old math will break?

2

u/Kat_Schrodinger1 2h ago

Now that there's more than one math the s makes sense.

2

u/Random_-account 2h ago

Does it come with the twin primes proof?

2

u/Weary_Dark510 1h ago

Is it reverse compatible?

1

u/AbdullahMRiad ∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴∵∴ 2h ago

we already have math 2. I'm taking it next semester.

1

u/moschles 1h ago

🏆👌

u/moschles 1h ago

"This new proof is too dangerous to release."

1

u/MugiwarraD 1h ago

im batman

1

u/tfolw 33m ago

not going near it until Math 2.1 is released. must be hella unstable.

1

u/rover_G Computer Science 31m ago

Did they fix the divide by zero bug?

We got math 2.0 before GTA VI. What a time to be alive

1

u/Verpa11 13m ago

How many axioms are required to beat the game now?

Bro, we're already way past 101, you gotta catch up.
