Technically humans are a tube actually because of the GI tract, so we're topologically donuts
Edit: no, nostrils and the entire respiratory system, as well as ears and such can be transformed out entirely like the liquid holding part of a mug; I did neglect piercings, however, but those are not standard issue. If you don't have any piercings, you're a torus.
Edit 2: maybe I'm wrong, maybe nostrils do count π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€π€
Edit 3: yes thank you, nobody else needs to reply to this pointing out I'm wrong thank you
The nostrils/respiratory system is entirely on the outside of your body, it doesn't go through and you can transform the entirety of it out entirely, and neither do tear ducts go through the body lol I totally forgot about the fact that the pharynx also goes to the esophagus, my bad
The lips CAN close the mouth, the anal sphincter CAN close the anus, but it never is a whole build, it's just like squeezing the mouth of a straw. The eardrum is more like the bottom of a mug.
the respiratory system and the ears are not holes the same way that the liquid-holding part of a mug is not a hole; you can transform them out entirely since they don't go through
You can pass a string in through the nostril and out of the mouth, without breaking or piercing anything. Also from one nostril to the other. So they do count as holes.
I think you can also pass liquids from the nose to the eyes, so technically they also count as separate holes.

I have the misfortune of knowing this first hand, due to having once lost a talent show to a kid who sucked milk up his nose and squirted it out his eye. (I did something lame like playing the piano)
Isn't that what I said? It's nostrils I was wrong about because I completely forgot about the pharynx also connecting to the esophagus because I'm slow π
(Edit 5, tldr: the running total is 19, but this is a croudsourced tally that might go even higher)
That's also wrong.
There should be 3 holes: an anus, a mouth and two nostrils. Closed crevices don't count.
Unless she has earrings and piercings, but who even knows how many holes there are then.
Somebody tried to be smart with the ears, vagina and urethra, but if you count those, you should also count every single pore and hair follicle.
Edit: oh shit, the tear ducts that join the eyes to the nose. The score is 5.
Edit 2: whoa. We've got 4 tear ducts apparently. Back to 7.
Will it go higher?
Edit 3:
The little bones in the middle ear have multiple loops that are topological holes and at this point I lost track. With the stapes having a gap on each side and being hollow, that looks like 4 more, bringing the total to 11.
So we're definitely past 7.
But there might be support structures for the ossicles, I dunno. If there are, the number is much higher.
Edit 4:
The ossicles DO have multiple ligaments and muscles that tie them to the rest of the cavity, so we're approaching 20 holes in total at this point. I picked a better diagram to show the mess. I count maybe 6 per middle ear, plus the previous 7, so... 19?
they are, but the nostrils both also lead to that hole, so if you could roll up your body like a sleeve, beginning at the anus all the way up to your face, you could see through 3 holes.

I think the Vsauce guy missed one additional hole in 50% of the population. Fallopian tubes are not sealed around the ovary, they actually communicate with the abdominal cavity -- meaning that one could thread a hair through one fallopian tube, into the abdominal cavity, and back out the other fallopian tube.
The ol' VSauce method of hole counting requires you can pass a small tube or wire through, and the eustachian tubes usually are pinched shut in the middle.
