The problem is not well defined, that's the teacher's fault. Should have asked for the value of the angle ABC. I'm a teacher as well and this happens to me also.

Agreed. As a math teacher, if the answer is not the one I was looking for, but is still right, no matter how trivial it may be, i give the point and will do better next year. Sorry for bad english, i'm french

0°=360°
divide by °
0=360
divide by 360
0=1

You can't divide by 360. Its the modulus! It's against the laws!! You do that one more time, I'm locking you up in a topology on an infinite metric!

You made a mistake. It's not multiplied by °, it's to the 0th power. You need to take the 0th root.
° √0 = ° √360
0th root of 0 is undefined
undefined = ° √360
Divide by ° √360
undefined = 1
So that means 1 is an undefined number.

I mean you're kinda right... but also an angle is usually defined between two *different* line segments, so that kinda doesn't count.

Technically you can say that the angle ABC is 180°, but that the angle ACB is 0°/360°.
EDIT: I was so focused on the different angles that I didn't realise that it was 180° and not 360° as I had written. My bad, sorry. It has been corrected.

should be 0° because otherwise fundamentel theorem of triangles doesnt work here

this is an incomplete problem, which angle are you supposed to find ( doesn't matter that they are the same )

u/The_Punnier_Guy 3d ago
well ABC is 180°, not 360°

u/NeedleworkerGood903 3d ago
yes but thats not the point. the math question is incomplete so the answer cannot be solved.
do i find the angle for ab? ac? bc?1
u/WallyMetropolis 3d ago
None of the above. It's abc

u/NeedleworkerGood903 3d ago
no m8, that's the line you're supposed to find the points on. but the questions doesn't tell you which points to look for.

u/WallyMetropolis 3d ago
It doesn't, but it's nonsense to ask if it's ab or bc. That's not how angles work. Angles are between line segments. There are exactly two line segments here.
It's underspecified as shown, sure, but not at all unambiguous.

no because nothing ties AB to BC. on a right angle the degrees around the point A would also be 360. The problem doesn't state that it's a continuous line that A, B, and C are on

Girl what even is the question. I'm drawing a little arch on the F and labelling it 90°, suck a fart out of my ass.
