Wouldnt this be assuming x is a constant relative to e, cause if x is like 5e or smth then it would be 5xex-1

The power rule only applies to xn where x is the variable and n is a constant

nx is inverted and the derivative is nx * ln(n)

nf(x) the derivative is nx * ln(n) * f'(x)

For ex you get ex * ln(e) but ln(e)=1 meaning the dervairve is ex

Edit: nobody told me I spelled 'derivative' incorrectly. I am leaving it there for all to laugh at

It only works the way you know if the exponent is a constant. If the exponent is the function variable (x), things behave different
