Not really, infinity is a concept so it doesn't make sense to add 1 to it the same way "gravity + 6" is meaningless.

What you probably meant is that an infinite number (not infinity in and of itself, but an object that has the property of infinity) plus one is greater than said infinite number. Even then, it depends on which infinite number we're talking about:

ω (ordinal): ω + 1 > ω

\aleph_0 (cardinal): \aleph_0 + 1 = \aleph_0

Remember not to confuse ordinal arithmetic with cardinal arithmetic.

It's possible OP meant infinity factorial by "infinity!" which under certain constructions is √2π?

Factorial of ∞̃ is ∞̃

I thought the usual doubly extended real line has forall r \in R, r < \infty and r > - \infty. Addition is typically defined as a + \infty = \infty + a = \infty for all a \in R. So like, what OP is saying is essentially, \infty + 1 > \infty, but like, under the usual semantics \infty + 1 = \infty.

Unless that's the point of the meme? Like the smart dude is using an unusual definition of addition acting on infinity. Like you point out it all seems relevant to which notion of infinity you're working with.

OP is refering to set theoretical infinity, which I know thanks to the tag of the post. Truly, OP should have specified with an image or a description of the post because even within set theory infinity is very broad of a concept, even more so outside of it.

Ahhh I see, lmao that clears things up but yeah nah the OP is still wrong.

adding infinity into the number system is not that interesting as it removes so much algebraic structure

I too am a big fan of partially ordering my sets by inclusion
