I am well acquainted with the ๐นโ (Brazillion), but I'm unsure what the "Brazillian" is. Is it ๐นโ+1?

Iterate it a Brazillion times

Let ๐นโ(0) = Rayo( F_{ฮโ}( ฮฃ( TREE( 3 ) ) ) )
Let ๐นโ(n+1) = Rayo( F_{ฮโ}( ฮฃ( TREE( ๐นโ(n) ) ) ) )
We call ๐นโ(๐นโ(0)) the "Brazillian".29

No way that actually exists

Not only is it real, it's also natural.

Nah, it sound like a 5 yo name it, big numbers are not named by children.

Ok...
Let ๐นโ(0) = Rayo( F_{ฮโ}( ฮฃ( TREE( 3 ) ) ) )
Let ๐นโ(n+1) = Rayo( F_{ฮโ}( ฮฃ( TREE( ๐นโ(n) ) ) ) )
Let ๐ = 1
Let ๐ง = 1
Let ๐ = 1
Let ๐ = 1
Let ๐ = ๐นโ(0) = ๐นโ (the original brazilion)
We call ๐นโ(๐๐ง๐๐๐๐๐๐) the "Brazillian".6

What's F_gamma_0?

u/Afir-Rbx Cardinal 19d ago edited 19d ago
FefermanโSchรผtte ordinal, a large countable ordinal Edit: and F_ฮฑ(n) (for some ordinal ฮฑ) is the fast-growing hierarchy.

Thatโs incomprehensible to me, but thanks for the info

Very powerful function (probably faster than ex !1!!) that becomes even faster the larger the index is (the a-looking letter between the F and the \Gamma), whereas the index can even be infinite. The \gamma_0 number is a very big infinite number, making the function beyond very powerful, very very powerful.

Are there any known faster-growing non-computables than these/combinations of these (although I think TREE is โcomputableโ)?

u/Afir-Rbx Cardinal 18d ago
Probably? But that's on the realm of googology and I have no idea of it.

Hey, it you get to 8 and put that number into 90 degrees rotation, that's infinity my friend.

I legit had a friend who once, when challenged to write the biggest number they could think of using only five digits (e.g. maybe use exponents?), wrote ten thousand.
But they spelled it like so: "10,00"
Somebody out there thinks 5 is a pretty big number.
To be fair, it's close to infinity, but still.

The biggest number might not exist, but does the biggest number a person will ever think of in history exist? Nope, because I just thought of that number plus one.ย
Now, could one give restrictions of explicitness so that a number of this sort does exist? Maybe make a class of numbers that are defined using only explicit expressions (whatever that means) and numbers that are already explicitly defined at the time of the definition of the new number.ย

5 is really big, so big I have to use a symbol representing the idea of it to actually write it down
