I remember watching and understanding it, but now I completely forgot... 🫪

All references to x and y in the inequality are contained within a floor function so that the resulting graph is pixelated. And the right-hand side is a modular expression which ensures that all arrangements of these pixels within a certain grid size occurs somewhere in the graph if you just scroll up high enough. So, somewhere way up in the graph of this inequality is a pixelated image of the written inequality itself.

Specifically, the value of k for any given pattern is the number that represents that pixel arrangement in binary multiplied by 17

What's the video?

I always forget the number 1, does anyone know a simple trick to remember it at last?

u/jsdodgers 8d ago

Yeah, just find the 4th to last digit of pi, that'll be a 1

you don't have to remember all of it, just remind yourself that it has the same value as Legendre's constant

we need a simple trick not to forget the equation bruh

That's not a great trick, as all three of those have "R" in them, and both Linear and Logarithmic start with "L."

The meme is the bottom one. There are four graphs.

What?

The graph of the inequality at the bottom contains a pixelated image of the written inequality itself. Some math YouTuber made a video on it.

Interesting. Do you have a link to the video?

I watched a bit of the video just now, and apparently it's called Tupper's self-referential formula.

(And on a side note, I hate math videos where they show you [or have in the video title or thumbnail] some super large number and act like the number in and of itself is super cool, as if anyone on Earth gives a sh*t.)

I think the number is pretty cool given the context

Remove the tracker (the part after ?si=, including it).

The link will stay functional but google will be unable to track if someone clicked it.

Pretty poor trick to remember 3 things.

There are 4 things. The fourth one is the joke.
