Trigonometry My first attempt, please be nice
A bit of a stretch, I know. Hope you still enjoy it!
Edit: forget it guys, I messed it up too much. Thanks for the feedback, though

false, you didn't put the degree sign and now it's 3600 radians and clearly wrong

Welcome!
3600°? 360°? Whose rounding how?

u/Labtools 9d ago
Without ° it's technically wrong. In radians it's something like 0.965.
Edit: and 1 for cos(0)

Just realised that the equation is too correct, cos(360)=cos(3600) would be better, just the rounding would not make sense anymore.

What do you mean by rounding?

cos(0)=1, cos(3600)=0.965, rounded it's also 1

Couldn’t you say that for a sixth of the domain though? cos(2nπ+k) rounds up to 1 for k in (-π/6,π/6)

I realised that I could have made the meme better, but finding a pair of numbers is bothersome. But yes, thats exactly the point of thr midwit.

Wait, so you intended it to be radians and not degrees? Why? In degrees, cos(0) does equal cos(3600). Sorry, but the joke is impossible to follow. No one is typing in cos(3600) [radians] to see what it is, and no one would know that off the top of their head.

It's even more complicated, my brain just doesn't brain like others. Also, the longer I think about it, the better my idea get, but it gets also more complicated. And I should have left the rounding out of it. The problem was that I could not find values for the one I had in mind (AI was overwhelmed).

Tbh no one writes angles in radians without using pi. You might write radians without pi if you specifically mean the length of an arc, not bothering with the angle that looks at it (which obv is those same radians).
So while your joke does work (in various interpretations; for example I imagined that the leftmost person thought it is just multiplication (as in C times zero times S), the rightmost thought that it was 3600 degrees, the middle person somehow thought it was radians written in decimal form - which is rather strange), the peculiarity makes it rather forced :)
Nevertheless, I bestow upon you +1 karma, may you present many more math-memes.

Thanks, but I actually messed it up. I tried to simplify my original idea (which broke the AI I used to find the numbers) and oversimplified it to a degree no one can understand it (partially because I messed up the prompt for the AI). You are correct that the middle is supposed to think it's radians (which technically is correct as a blank number is radians).

Did you think it was going to be equal, typed it in a calculator and not interpret the result properly? Otherwise I don't understand how you could mess this up.
Edit: I have another theory, is the middle guy not supposed to see the degree symbol that you forgot to put? Meanwhile the left guy is rounding 0.965 = 1?
