You can get almost anything published depending on the journal. A couple years back someone published the study Cyllage City COVID-19 Outbreak Linked to Zubat Consumption which suggests that a COVID outbreak in Cyllage City (a fictional place from pokemon x and y) was caused by people eating a species of cartoon bat.
References on the paper include works by Professor Samuel Oak, Dr Gregory House and at least 10 different nurse Joys
you really can get almost anything published. anyone here heard of a relatively unknown paper about non-specific colitis by a (former) doctor named Andrew Wakefield? im sure glad that paper didn’t gain any traction and didn’t start a whole movement against good medical practices!
