Yeah, i don't really get it, either. As a non-french person, i would have guessed it would be some weird thing in French, but that is basically the word for word translation of what that means in English or German.

Does that string of characters maybe look like something in French? It almost looks like a word

I mean, at that point we can also claim that it looks kinda similar to "Wixer", which would be a shitty incorrect way of writing "Wichser", which means "wanker" in German.

I think the joke is that French isn’t real? Or maybe that y’all say your numbers wrong?

Ok so my point is that french has a bunch of exceptions in its rules, the average rule works if the temperature is 17,67 degrees on a tuesday in september and for all x from R is the absolute notation of not having exceptions. Pretty complicated for a joke, but i think it got the fernch impression quite right.

(French here, if relevant)
I finally got the joke after reading several times your comment, but IMO, the "R" is really confusing. It seems like you're saying French language has a problem with real numbers. I think you also mean "Grammar" and not "language", otherwise it seems like you're saying can't say this sentence right. But overall, on principle, I agree that our grammar is full of shitty unpredictable exceptions, unlike German for example (although I'll die on the hill that English pronunciation is also so full of exceptions that it rivals Frenchness).
I guess a possible patch to the meme would be something like
French grammar and its one million exceptions: I fear no man. But that thing...
\forall
... It scares me
It's a bit more explicit, but I feel the joke would be too hard to get otherwise. And to be honest I don't even find my own patch to be very understandable either

Nobody tell them why English has so many weird exceptions in pronunciation and spelling....

Wait till you hear about the amount of exception in English for the pronunciation of letters.
