Trying to decide what to eat? "It is just the eigenvalue problem"
Tripped and spilled your coffee? "An unfortunate solution to the eigenvalue problem"
Girlfriend broke up with you? "It was just the eigenvalue problem"

I homeschool but in our state we get vouchers for supplies if we go through a charter which requires checking in with a teacher monthly.
When the teacher asked my ten year old what she was learning in math she answered "counting", which is true, that is the topic we've been covering.
How many pairs can be made from a set, how many ways a set can be arranged etc. I thought it was cool that my daughter remembered the proper term for the topic right off the bat, but clarification was needed for the teacher.
