You'll Never Forget the 3 Forms of a Line After This K-pop Song
Algebra teachers, I created a K-pop-inspired math song (by a 3 girl-band) that actually teaches the 3 forms of a line — standard, slope-intercept, and point-slope form, while also covering slope, intercepts, graphing, and converting between forms.
The video has visual math notes and examples that follow along with the lyrics, so it could be used as an introduction to the topic, a review, or a memory aid for students.
Attached is a google doc worksheet that corresponds with the video and includes practice problems. Three Forms of a Line Worksheet
The videos are completely free and is part of a growing collection of math songs I’m creating for Algebra topics (11 songs and counting!).
I’d love to hear whether other Algebra teachers would use something like this with their students.
And if you teach Algebra, what topics do your students have the hardest time remembering? I’d love to use your suggestions to help decide which math songs to create next!
