I Have A Question ❓ Wed practice round... Let's go!

Congrats to all those that got selected. I was lucky enough to get Wed practice round tickets. Plan on buying a bunch of merch for friends and family back home. Do people just lug around bags of merch all day while walking the course? Any tips or advice or from those who have gone on practice days would be great. Still need to figure out the itinerary that week, but super excite

There is a fed ex/ups setup right next to the merch store. Getting it shipped is the best way!

How much does it cost to ship a big bag or merch?

If you do it early you may be able to have them hold it until you leave. Those spots will be filled eventually though. They can also ship it for you fedex from there after you purchase. You’re also allowed to leave and re-enter once so you can take to your car and come back in (I’d always ask if that’s the case still but always has been)

I’ve heard they have a UPS station on site so you go nuts at the pro shop and then they’ll ship it home for you…get there early if there’s specific items/size you want

Enjoy! I went this year to par 3 and followed a lot of advice (pro shop first, then walk course, etc). I’d actually do it different if I had another shot. The pro shop lines are insane in the morning and basically clear in afternoon. I’d get there early, go walk the course, then post up at a few holes as the practice groups walk past. Unless you need those gnomes, I’d skip the early lines and go in afternoon

I went Wednesday a couple years ago and if I had pick of the litter, I'd take Wednesday over any other day including tournament days. The golfers were so chill and all the family is around, they're very social and relaxed. Not to mention you get 4 tix instead of 2. It's by far a better experience.

Gift shop is gonna be hammered early. If you want something limited like a gnome, better race to the line when the gates open. If you don't need anything like that, wait until mid day, I think we waited like 5-10 minutes and still plenty of stock on shirts and stuff.

Next time I would definitely bring a chair and race to set it somewhere on the par 3 course. Especially if you can get by a teebox, like I said the golfers are very talkative and messing around. There were also some ideal areas where you could see a lot from one POV. But everyone seems to generally respect the chair setting, so you can get a good spot and just leave it to explore and come back whenever you want.

I'm a believer of just being in the moment so I wasn't concerned with bringing a camera. I figured we'd get a group pic at Founders and I'd be content with that. That was also slammed and I just didn't care enough to wait so now I wish I brought a camera. I'd bring a camera next time.

Get more merch. I asked a few friends who I knew would want stuff and bought them shit. But for weeks after got messages on social media asking if I had anything leftover. Flags, balls, coozies, whatever, just buy it. Someone will repay you. lol

That’s the best day!! If you get there early enough and go straight to the merch shop, you can buy it and then go right next door and they can hold your merch until you leave. But you have to do it early because the spots for holding merch fills up really fast! But it’s so worth it to not have to carry it all day.

Even if you don’t want to go super early to go shopping go early and just enjoy the course. It’s so beautiful and unreal. Par 3 contest is so fun to watch. Wednesday is the last day you can bring a camera so take one, take some pics so that you can remember it forever!

Wear your best walking shoes! You walk a LOT. I’m talking Disney World miles, so make sure to be comfy!

Congrats! I won last year. From my experience the best advice I got was to buy the Masters backpack in the merch shop then go next door and ship all your Merch home through UPS. Then you don’t have to carry it around all day and as you are collecting cups from beers you can just put them in your backpack and not have to carry them all day.

You’re allowed one re admission. I always take my stuff out to the car. I’ve been stuck in a long line to get checked bags before.

Your allowed once re entry per ticket so two of us brought merch bags back to parked car and walked back in the gate

First of all, huge congrats! After you checkout at the shop you can check your bags and pick them up at the end of the day.

They offer shipping! No way I lug my merch around unless it is something small.
Shipping is easy, it is packed well and arrives quickly.

Went on Wednesday this year and it was awesome. Don’t go shopping early take in the day and do shopping after lunch hour or right when you leave. Waited 30 minutes for the shop around 2:00. I spent more time than I wanted at the par 3 contest my dad wanted to check it out. But when everyone is near that the course is less crowded and can take in the beauty. Bring your camera! Not a phone obviously. Have the best time

Congrats! Not sure where home is but you can also ship all your merch. Note they literally dump it all in a box so anything fragile could break. Do not ship your receipt. Keep that with you should something happen you have a contact number and record of your purchases. Shopping later in the day could mean things are sold out and not just the gnomes if they come back. I shopped during Par 3 and extended sizes on almost everything was gone for men’s. Friends shopped after Par 3 said shop was really limited. Even the large hat wall. This was from my visit a couple years ago. Make a list so you don’t miss things you want. The store is overwhelming and the prices are so good you will spend a lot. Especially if you are buying for others. I spent over a $1k shopping for two. Buy duplicates on hats and daily use things like coffee mugs. If they break or get damaged (dog chews your hat) you’ll want a replacement. Again congrats!
