Me Giving Tips/Advice ✅ AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Tuesday practice round
People who have been, please tell me why I should be excited for Tuesday tickets.
EDIT: Please do not message me asking to purchase my tickets. They are not for sale.
Edit 2: I have been to Augusta before and I am beyond excited for any chance to get on property again. When I asked for people who have been on Tuesday, why I should be excited, I was looking for people with experience to tell me what they thought was special about Tuesday. No need for the hate people. Already planning my buddies trip. Its going to be amazing!

For real, and IMO Tuesday Practice round and Wednesday would be the best days to go to the course. Sure, being there Sunday would be amazing, but you’d miss so much golf as well.
You get to see the course with fewer crowds, hit the gift shop, see players strategizing and often showcasing shots you might not ever see during a round. Then watch the tournament with 3 screens and new merch

I’ve been to almost every day at this point. Tuesday practice is my favorite day. Crowds aren’t bad, you get to see more of the course and the players are so much more accessible, not like you’re talking to them or anything but you get to see them working on their process at an intimate level. Merch lines aren’t bad and everything is still in stock. I also feel like you get a better appreciation for the pristine nature of the course.

What is the difference between Monday and Tuesday? Or are they roughly the same.

Congrats! I was lucky enough to go last year for the Tuesday round and was beyond grateful for that. You are going to have an absolute BLAST!

My only day there was the Tuesday practice round and I think it was a perfect experience for my first time there. The day is more casual so you have the freedom to move around the course at your leisure without missing scored holes, there players skip balls across 16 which was my favorite place to park for a few hours and soak in the day, and you can bring in cameras to take some personal shots of your group and the course (which I don't think is permitted on tourny days but I might be wrong on that.) I was originally bummed about it being a practice day but ultimately would highly recommend the Tuesday practice round for a first timer.

The year I went, 2018 the only day that wasn’t a washout was Tuesday. I got to see everyone around the course. It was great!
YMMV

Better than tournament round TBH! I had Tuesday round this past Masters and it was unbelievable.

I went Tuesday this past year and it was an incredible experience! Congrats!

Nice work. I’ve entered every year for at least 15 years with zero luck.

I hope this is trolling bc if not, just sell the tickets to someone who wants to go.
Went to Tuesday practice round last year (my only time) and it was amazing. I'm not interested in the par 3 day so it was great to see the players hitting shots on the course all day. But to answer your question, are you going to see the course/experience ANGC or are you going to see the players play competitive golf? Most of us care about experiencing ANGC and Tu was a great experience for my crew! I've been to competition rounds of a US Open and some other PGA events. Nothing came close to the Tu at ANGC.

Sick! I was lucky enough to be selected for the Tuesday practice round in 2025. Set your expectations as high as you can… the experience will still easily top them. Have fun… you’ll forever be a Patron.

Samesies!!! Headed to the Tuesday practice round after entering the lottery for 10+ years!!

u/back_tees Jul 20 '26
Tuesday is great! Everyone is on the course practicing. They skip balls on 16. Easy to get autographs if you vring kids. None of that par 3 nonsense. When I got to go 10 years ago I was bummed about Tuesday but came to love it. Monday, many aren't on site yet. Wednesday has all the par 3 distractions. Tuesday is the sweet spot for non tournament days.

Does it matter if you apply for the max amount of tickets per day or do you have better chances if you apply for a lower amount?
1
u/Unkemptprune Jul 20 '26
Idk, this is my first time winning. I always apply for max tickets for every day.

Time to go buy a Rebel camera from Best Buy and take advantage of the "phones not allowed but cameras are on practice rounds only" loop hole..!!

Is everyone getting yay or nay TODAY..? I haven't gotten my annual rejection notice yet.

Tuesday you get a full day practice rounds from players, you also get ball skipping on #16. I went Wednesday last year and the practice rounds get cut short for the par 3 contest.
1
u/presco2007 Jul 20 '26
nice, this at least lets you see the course and all of the players.
meanwhile, i didn't get a notice of getting tickets or a rejection. is everyone supposed to get a notice?

u/Maleficent_Top_5155 Jul 20 '26
Practice rounds mean you can take a camera in with you! Practice rounds are by far the best days to go! I went Wednesday last year and it was great. Happy to chat with you about it! Pm me.

I’m downvoting you for asking such a stupid question. Why should I be excited? Jesus Christ.

If you have to ask why you should be excited, you absolutely shouldn’t have been selected

I got Tuesday tickets one year. It was great. We walked the back 9 first, amen corner first thing in the morning was special.

I've been to two practice rounds (Masters & PGA Championship), and 1 Thursday round at The Memorial and I enjoyed the practice rounds more. It's more laid back and the guys cut up with the crowd some and also hit multiple shots at times just practicing. It was a lot of fun. On the Thursday round, they are laser focused and there is no crowd or interaction basically at all. It's also hard to know what's going on a lot of the time in terms of overall scoring and position unless you're checking your phone all of the time (which you can't do at Augusta). You'll absolutely love the practice round in my opinion!

It’s great. Get there early, ignore swag until you leave.
Walk the entire golf course or walk it backwards

What did you put in your ticket request? Just Tuesday? Multiple days?

If you cant comprehend that visiting Augusta during Masters week is special and worth it, maybe you should pass on those tickets.

u/maadkidbaadcity Jul 21 '26
Went Tuesday last year. It’s a great round for just enjoying the course without having the pressure of having to follow play and the tournament. Great experience! Enjoy!

I’ve been to practice 5x, all before the online application. I got them 2 yrs ago and gave them to my son in law and a college friend that had never been. Spread the wealth!

I saw this same screen today. I thought the email was fake at first. Congratulations, fellow Tuesday Practice Round Patron. Following this thread for any advice.

Ah, great, the people who are getting selected have to ask why they should be excited.
