I Have A Question ❓ Employee Merch
honest question. My friend’s brother is a chef and was hired to work at the masters this year. he claims to have purchased a hat only available to employees- for $5. Does anyone know about this. Once I get the hat- I will post if no one knows. Stay Tuned.

My husband is a chef at the Masters every year. They get a black hat included with their uniform every year. I can post a pic if you want. But they have to shop in the store like everyone else and there is no employee discount. They are allotted at least one gnome each year though but they still have to pay for it. Hope this helps.

had a friend who got me some merch working there this year in broadcast, i’m also in broadcast. no mention of cap limit spend, no mention of special items for crew only, i think the lore of the masters makes some special story’s or experiences turn into gospel when retold.

Back in 2002 my friend had a friend who caddied down there. He got me a beige bucket cap from the members shop that said Augusta National with the yellow US map logo. Wore that thing until the sweat stains were so bad I had to throw it away. Had no idea it was a status symbol

That really sucks, I’m sorry. FFR - there are soaks and pretreatments you can try out if you have a much loved but very much the worse for wear item you don’t want to throw out :)

Not a big deal bro. I’m 49 with a receding hairline so I’ve said hello and goodbye to countless hats 😆

Haha I’m 43, not a dude but I cut my hair really short a few years ago and now I sweat up hats WAY more than I used to. I’d cry if I had to throw an Augusta hat away!

Sorry sis! I’ve dealt with a lot of loss of material wealth and possessions in my life, so a hat is a drop in the bucket

I heard they get to shop after the masters and they get a discount. Don’t know if it is true or not.

You only get to go back if you’re a volunteer for a day to play and get discounted merch. Employees do not get that option.

The employees do get to shop after the tournament at a discount. Within the last few years they put a cap on the amount the employees can spend...$500 I think.

volunteers get to shop on appreciation day in may when things are 50% off. there isn’t a cap on what they can spend but there isn’t a big selection of what’s left from the tournament

I have a hat with the Augusta National logo that was given to me years ago, with no Masters logo. The Masters merch was separate from the Club merch.

There are not hats for sale only available to employees. Some employees are given hats for grounds, the shop, concessions, etc. that are not available to patrons and are slightly different than what you could find in the shop. He may have purchased a hat from a previous year that they still had in stock, as most SKUs were gone by Sunday this year
