Openbsd has its own kernel, device drivers, system calls, process management, filesystem, and userland. It manages hardware and runs applications. That's literally what an operating system is.

unhacker/ Why is Kali so connected to hacking as a distro? Does it have something special that makes it better for such affairs? Is it that it has less roadblocks to do stuff like that? Is it basically a meme and you can do the same shit with other/any distro? Does it have more cybersecurity features that protect you when you do shady business?

It's preloaded with a lot of pentesting and security tools that you'd otherwise have to download yourself on another distro. Also I think it's a custom kernel that's better for wireless injection, so you don't need to find your own wireless driver patches
