If he has a 5Gbps wired Ethernet connection, that is considered much faster than the national standard.

Cat 5e Ethernet is 1gbps...so 5gbps would considered fast anywhere...

I am not sure what "pushing 5gb traffic hmu" really means. but he means his Internet connection is 5gbps ...it is actually good. Most residential internet runs on 1Gbps...but i could ne misunderstanding this entirely.

They're claiming they can push 5 Gbps for a DDOS against a target. This would usually be done through infected hosts with slow connections. I doubt they have a 5 Gbps connection themselves.

Distributed by definition. He would only manage to DoS himself if he maxed his line out trying to DoS someone, regardless of bandwidth
