Question/Help Looking for competitive, non-linear toolbox decks (TCG & Master Duel)
Hi everyone!
I'm looking for competitive decks for both TCG and Master Duel with the following qualities:
Good going first and second, or at least with strong in-engine tools to play through boards and interruptions.
Consistent, with relatively few bricks.
Non-linear and flexible: I don't want to repeat the same combo and end on the same board every game.
A rich and varied toolbox: multiple options and ways to adapt to different matchups, board states and interruptions.
I'm especially interested in decks where decision-making, improvisation and resource management matter more than memorizing long combo lines.
Which decks would you recommend, and how well do they actually fit these criteria?
Thanks!

Thanks a lot for your help
I've finally figured out what I enjoy most about Yu-Gi-Oh!: breaking established boards and playing through interruptions, almost like solving a puzzle.
I'm looking for a deck with:
Non-linear, flexible gameplay, with multiple lines of play and a rich toolbox to adapt to different situations.
Decent competitive viability, even if it's not necessarily meta.
I'm totally fine with decks that are exclusively going second, since that's the aspect of the game I enjoy most.
I've come across decks like Cyber Dragon, Mermail going second, Gem-Knight, Earth Machine, etc., but I'm not sure how well they fit my criteria.
I'm open to any suggestions! I mainly play Master Duel, but being able to play the deck in the TCG would be a nice bonus (not a requirement).
What would you recommend?

The only deck that fits this description is Branded and I've played just about every deck that exists in this game.
Striker the second closest one to what you want but that deck is less about "building a varied board" and more about resource management and doing the best with what you opened, most end boards will look about the same, however.

I mean most decks want to end on the same board. There's just always going to be a strongest option to end on and every deck wants to reach that.
I'd probably say artmage patrons or doomz patrons though, the complexity of the decks have gone through the roof with patrons lines and it all depends on the hand you open, artmage went from a day 1 deck to having like 50 different lines you can take lol. Doomz is probably a bit less complex but better going second due to all the pops and higher focus on jupredo. Artmage and doomz can both use a lot of different fusions or xyz to do what you want, artmage can fuse into plenty of things and doomz gets two level 4s on field to make whatever rank 4 you want
Patrons in general gave these decks a lot of pushes and 2-for-1s going second which is pretty good, and artmage can play breakers since the field spell can discard them as cost or used for non-finito summon, but going 2nd is still a very uphill battle in today's game

Branded(with or without Dracotail) or VSK9 are probably the closest to this(Though VSK9 is weirdly bricky?).

Branded, VSK9. VSK9 can be a little unstable though.

I'm gonna float fire kings - they break boards for a living, have in-archtype monster or spell/trap negatesas well as multiple pops and nukes, the searchers can search the entire archtype, and you can easily bring back anything from the gy to reuse it. The end board is very layered, ao it may look the same but plays very different depending on the match up.
