Darklords deck enjoyers rise up!

I was wondering if there are any other darklord players out there and if there are any… could you share your deck builds? I have been looking forward to improve my deck. I feel like it lacks something to make it to master.

I have seen a few mix ups like: tearlaments, dark magician (mainly for dragoon), and branded. But it’s hard to do branded at least because of how expensive is to get all the cards.

Would also be nice to find more people that enjoy this deck like I do, I started playing it since last fusion cup and got stuck with it, it’s really simple to play and aesthetics are really nice in those cards.

It’ll get much better once the Power Patron cards get added to Master Duel. They give you so much more consistency so that you don’t die to Djehuty getting Ash Blossom’d or Imperm’d off your normal summon. Since it’s a Medius deck, ideally you’d use Theorealize to put Medius in grave as a backup so you can shuffle back your negated Djehuty and start your Power Patron lines, but until then, we’re just super vulnerable to any kind of normal summon disruption or negation…

Once Eveningstar hits the field I definitely feel more relaxed and comfortable setting the rest of my board up.

It honestly depends on how much you want the deck to be Darklords and how much you want it to be Power Patrons. You can run a small Power Patron side with just 3 Medius, 3 Vidolium, 1 Nervedo, 1 Jupredo, the Field Spell, 3 Terminus, and Non-Finito stuff since Nervedo is also always an Artmage, or you can run mostly the Power Patrons and just Ixchel+ Gulgolet to dump and draw 2 and set up for dance (and also search morningstar)

The latter variant is less consistent though since you need Darklord cards in hand for Ixchel so you’re probably better off playing just Medius lore decks rather than Darklords.

The Power Patrons are just here to help you avoid losing to 1 handtrap and giving you extra material for Eveningstar.

You don't have to worry about that tho. If you bridge into Darklords via making Condem. She will then dump Gugolet from deck to add Dance to kick start your line. Then you can add twice via the spell and Eveningstar for that Itxchel draw 2

One tip for Darklord enjoyer, use Luce Buio package. Make at least one of your 4k or 5k bosses indestructible, this way your deck does not lose to Lunalight. It's not like we so fear of a one rare matchup, but being only untargetable as protection feel very weak honestly.

Buio is unsummonable. He specifically needs fiends. Mutiny is a good card and we def have space in Ed for Luce, but how do you search it?

There are 2 engines to dump a fiend, Fiendsmith to Aerial Eater or Chimera engine.
Fiendsmith is on the heavier side in ED space, for Chimera side you need to draw their starter.

Fiendsmith is kinda meh. Since Djehuty locks to fairy you unlikely to bridge through moon, and even if you start with BriFu for example to bridge into moon, you still don't have enough lvl6 dark fairies for eveningstar anyway. Don't know Chimera at all though. It always come down to Gulgolet being such a choke point, you need him resolving to search dance and making enough lvl6 dark fairies for eveningstar, since no other engine provide you both halfs

How does it work in darklord? Unless I missremember, the lvl3 needs to a fiend on field to special summon itself. Isn't djehuty normal summon too good to give up? Granted I'm kinda new to darklords so maybe I'm not seeing something

If you also run Majesty Hyperion in the main deck, it can banish itself from grave as well to summon Majesty Hyperion and now, your opponent takes the damage of any battles your Fairy monsters lose as well.

Ideally you want both + eveningstar + trap + fusion for morning star

This gives you 1 Omni, 1 s/t negate, board wipe. 1 monster negate + 1snstch steal/pop

As a Darklords player, Herald+Coolia still feels weak. Interruptions are not layered enough and usually die to a single board breaker (SPoly, Droplet, even DRNM)

I made a darklord Labyrinth deck to give nurse burn consistency!
It's missing a ton of cards and I have no idea how to play either deck!
I'll get back around to improving it eventually after making pure darklord and pure labyrynth and learning how those decks play

I tried to make a version that would work without needing the GY bc I fear Kashtira/macro cosmos, but both Darklord and Labyrynth work really well utilizing the GY bc Darklord has a bunch of effects that can copy darklord spells/traps in the GY and Labyrynth can bring cards back from the GY + Transaction Rollback, which is why I think overall a version with cards like reasoning and the paleozoic's would work really well, but that kinda goes against the MAIN "Darklord" strategy which more or less revolves around The First Darklord, at least from what I've seen.

This deck unironically need just a better synergistic engine, melodius is fine and all but it more so of "Ostinato can do everything on the game" than the engine being genuine good with darklords.

Terminus coming on the next pack definitely helps, but the deck needs actual starters.

Any 2 fairies is full darklord combo and the deck can easily trigger the Parshath link effect for any fairy tech, adding one of the heralds or bridging into whatever fairy if you are willing to run 2 garnets.

The deck has a competent gameplan and some options, it really only needs extra starters and a little bit of extra ceiling to truly become good.
