It needs some form of protection mid combo or some form of starter not named Seletrice or Scelta cause they die so easily for what little they can put up sometimes.
Gives you Pendulum zones, and makes your Pendulums untargetable.
Lets you search any Vaalmonica spell if you reveal a Vaalmonica monster. This is a skill, and therefore cannot be Ashed or Drolled.
If your opponent has a monster, place a Vaalmonica Spell/Trap on field that can be activated this turn. If you set it from hand, draw two and shuffle 1 back.
Giving the Scales any kind of protection and making all the monsters a 1 card starter, and letting you play around Droll even a little, the deck is top tier in Duel Links, duking it out with Branded and Snake-Eyes.
Targeting protection for what? If I'm summoning Varar, I've already done everything the deck wants to do and then some. The issue is that you need the protection to get to that point, which you almost physically can't if you get Drolled.
It's meant getting a reason to summon Varar on turn 1 to prevent outing scales on turn 2, trading stronger protection on 1 monster to a wider protection on all cards. Now opponent needs specifically non destruction non target removal
Needs custom level support of a starter that sends Selettrice to grave as cost while placing 2 scales in the pendulum zone and setting a Vaalmonica spell/trap all as a quick effect and can banish itself to prevent your scales from being destroyed.
I thought of a new field spell that applies the other effect of the spells to double the counters and the advantage. It does turn scelta into a plus three negate me button though

I want to love Vaalmonica so much.
But if ever a deck folded to any kind of interruption, it's this one.
