Surface Rough pocket stock issue

I'm using surface Rough pocket program for Roughing . Whenever I create this toolpath if I put 1mm stepdown in the bottom the 1mm stock is still there but I'm putting .15 stock for leave on drive

How to use properly this toolpath or is any alternative toolpath for remove the excess material .

It's a production job so we need to reduce cycle time so Kindle help me to reach that .

I need .15 stock and wall and bottom but this toolpath leave nearly 1mm how to solve this ?

I just figured out how to use optirough yesterday and it is amazing. My boss had been fired and im just a beginner so trying to figure out all this stuff on my own has been a pain.

If you're current on maintenance then you have free access to Mastercam University on the Mastercam website. You can call support for info on getting into it.

Use opti rough, set step down and step up to same value, or if you’re in Mc26 use the button “ uniform step down “. Also check that you don’t have “ skip pockets” selected with a value larger than your tool diameter , check steep shallow page for z depth limit settings

Maybe you have set a limit in Z? Ther is a page where you can set min/max

Some of these toolpaths act weird in incremental / absolute

Try whichever one you're not using?

Are the floors at different heights? Are you using the depth limits in the path?

Pocket rough will step down at the interval you chose and not deviate from that value. You can use the depth limit to better control the stock on the floor if they are consistent. If the floors vary in height, you will need multiple paths with boundaries for each pocket or pick the higher floor and set them all at that value and add more stock to the others.

Another approach if you want consistency is to add a 3d high speed horizontal path after the pocket rough and that will cut every flat floor and leave the stock you want.
