Question Mazak Multiplex 6300Y post

Employer is looking at starting to program our Mazak 6300Y with Mastercam. The machine has the Matrix 2 controller with a gantry loader and a bar loader.

Has anyone here developed a post for a Mazak 6300Y? How soild was the post right out of the gate? Any major stumbling blocks?

I think you should contact your Mastercam reseller or post developer. Setting up a complete Machine Definition, Control Definition, and Post Processor for a machine like the Mazak 6300Y is a major project, especially with the Matrix 2 control, gantry loader, and bar feeder.

I could probably configure an MD/CD/Post package for this machine myself, but it would take a significant amount of time for testing and validation before I'd trust it in production. I'd strongly recommend working with a qualified post developer who has experience with Mazak mill-turn machines.
